Resort Activities - Winter Activities

Our Nordic Ski & Snowshoe Center reopens for the 2015-16 season in December. Our tentative opening date is December 19...sooner if the weather cooperates. We look forward to seeing you this season for some winter fun!

The Mountain Top Nordic Ski & Snowshoe Center, one of the first commercial cross country ski touring centers in the East, has served the skiing public for over a quarter century. Located in a renovated horse stable, we pride ourselves on delivering some of the best cross country skiing on 60km of trails (40km groomed), with classical ski track and skating lanes. Our snowmaking system covers a 2.5km loop and our ski shop has the latest in ski and snowshoe rentals. Trails are open 8:00AM - 4:00PM.

The ski school is staffed with a friendly and knowledgeable staff of instructors for all skill levels. Our NEW PistenBully groomer has a wider span than our previous one, by 2 feet. This substantially improves flotation in the snow and a more consistent finished snow surface. All this ensures that conditions are always perfect for our guests. Easy access to the Catamount Trail further extends the number of trails that you will enjoy. In addition we offer horse drawn sleigh rides, snowmobile tours, and ice skating.

After you've worked up an appetite on the trails, the Nordic Center offers hot and cold beverages, snacks, and a place to put your feet up with friends and family. Limited lunch menu of sandwiches and soup is served on weekends, holidays and vacation weeks. Or visit the Mountain Top Tavern, serving casual pub fare for lunch or dinner.
Our guests also enjoy activities in the Barn: fitness room and massage therapy. Weekly yoga classes are offered for a fee. Come for the day...and why not stay overnight? To learn more please call 802-483-2311 and ask about our seasonal packages and room rates.
