Although purchased in the 1940’s it wasn’t until 1964 that the owners of the Mountain Top Inn realized that the terrain was a natural for Vermont cross country skiing. It was then that they began to develop a ski center and trail system. It was one of the first commercial cross-country ski centers in the United States. Today, we have 85 kilometers of trails and today the resort has some of the best cross country skiing in the United States. Since 1983 we have used state of the art snowmaking that practically guarantees skiing throughout the season.
