The production of maple syrup, known as “sugaring“, takes place just as winter is losing its grip.  The maple producers, or “sugar makers“ look for weather that alternates between freezing and thawing; this is what makes the sap flow.  In Vermont, sugaring weather usually starts around the beginning of March, and normally lasts for about six weeks.

This sweet two night package tempts your sense of taste and of smell with Vermont maple products. You will be just a short drive from the New England Maple Museum, Baird Farm, Sugar & Spice and many more maple farms & sugarhouses. We’ll have a complete list waiting for you when you arrive.
