There are many exciting winter sports to participate in at the Mountain Top Inn. We have been operating since the 1940’s as one of the best places for skiing. Our terrain and trails are perfect for classic and skate skiing as well as cross-country skiing. We also offer ice skating, sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and horse drawn sleigh rides. And with our excellent snow making system there is rarely an occasion where the weather doesn’t permit these activities.
At the Mountain Top Inn you will also find some of the best New England dog sledding around. We have turned something that was once a necessity into something that is fun and exciting. You’ll experience a piece of history while gliding through the Green Mountain trails. The Mountain Top Inn has some of the most athletic and hard working dogs on site. The dogs provide a real thrill for their riders as they fly through the numerous snowy trails on the property.
The dog sled rides are offered everyday beginning at 4:30pm and they last approximately 30 minutes. The dogs take you through many of the resort’s trails throughout its 350 acres. It costs $75.00 per person and the dog sleds can accommodate up to four people. Each rider must be at least 5 years of age. You will need to make reservations for a dog sled ride by calling the Mountain Top Inn & Resort Nordic Ski & Snowshoe Center. You can call prior to your arrival or once you get here.
