Thanksgiving is the perfect time for us to reflect on all we have to be grateful for this year at The Mountain Top Inn & Resort.

First and foremost we are grateful for all our employees: Our Reservations and Front Desk staff who are the “voice” of The Mountain Top Inn & Resort as they answer phones, confirm reservations, assist with special requests; then warmly welcome our guests when they arrive, assist them throughout their stay with directions, recommendations, dining suggestions and so much more. Our Culinary team who create a memorable dining experience; whether a wedding for 200, a romantic dinner by the fire or a Mac & Cheese for our youngest guest. Service staff who wait tables with a smile or bring champagne to a couple in their room so he can propose. Always on the move, our Housekeeping staff work under the radar as they clean, make beds, refresh towels and do the tasks that none of us envy. The staff at the Activities Center who lead trail rides, drive the pontoon boat, teach youngsters how to care for horses, give clay bird shooting lessons; then in winter drive the sleigh, teach cross country skiing, lead snowmobile rides, make snow, groom trails and much more. Our maintenance and grounds crew, who are always there to handle a repair or plow the parking lot, mow the lawn or create spectacular gardens. Our massage therapists whose talents generate kudos from all of our clients. Our Wedding Coordinators who gracefully guide our wedding couples through each step of planning.

We are thankful for our many guests who come from around the world and around the corner to see us. They are the spokes in the wheel
of our business; coming year round to enjoy a variety of our activities. It is their feedback and comments that encourage us to raise the bar higher as we constantly improve and expand the services we provide.

We are grateful for all of our partner vendors who supply us with food, paper products, computer services, web design, linens, guest room amenities, printing, and all the crucial products and services we need to operate The Mountain Top Inn & Resort.

We sincerely appreciate the media who have promoted our message through the press; and for the membership organizations and chambers of commerce for their support; for the Vermont Department of Tourism & Marketing who consistently promote the message: “so much to explore, so easy to do” in Vermont. For awards like The Wine Spectator Award of Excellence and The Knot’s “Best of Weddings” 2013 winner.

We are thankful for our neighbors; as well as for the owners of the vacation homes who entrust their property management and rental to us.

We are thankful for everyone working on The Barn project; it is a dream come true for us and we admire the many talents involved in building such a beautiful structure. (Who could climb that high to finish the cupola??)

We are thankful for our investors; through the ups and downs of the economy they have had confidence that we always do the right thing for our guests, while protecting their investment in The Mountain Top Inn & Resort.

We are thankful for the women and men in the military who allow us to have the freedoms we enjoy every day. We look forward to being the host site for the 2013 Salute to Our Soldiers – A Vermont Winter Wedding!

The list is endless, so we will conclude with a lighthearted thank you to our “House Hound” Bailey, who regardless of how busy we are, he can always find time between naps, to welcome guests to the Resort.
